Michael McGrath

Michael McGrath leads our property team and has been with Mullane Lindsay since 2002. He is a commercially driven lawyer with 25 years of experience in property, commercial and estates law.

Michael has extensive experience across all aspects of property law, including residential, strata, commercial and rural conveyancing, commercial and retail leasing, and property development, from subdivisions to off-the-plan and staged projects. He enjoys building strong relationships with clients and their other advisors, and understands the importance of getting the deal done in a timely way.

  • Acquisitions and disposals, including contracts of sale and put and call options.
  • Drafting and negotiating complex retail and commercial leases.
  • Development projects, including joint ventures and off-the-plan sales.
  • Due diligence, finance and security, and regulatory compliance (GST, duties, land tax, foreign investment).

  • Bachelor of Economics, Bachelor of Laws and Diploma of Legal Practice, University of Newcastle
  • Member, Newcastle Law Society
